At AMCO we are aware that the Earth belongs to all of us. We understand that failing to protect it today will cause the future generations, our sons and daughters, to face the consequences of our omissions.
ECOAMCO is our Environmental Corporate Responsibility Program. This functions as a tool to channel significant efforts to reduce our ecological footprint. We control the consumption of fossil fuels and electricity; ensure residual water treatment; perform integral residue handling; make sustainable purchases and educate our collaborators, among other environmentally friendly practices.
We have a clear commitment to preserve our planet’s resources, which made us worthy of the Bandera Azul Ecológica Award (“Ecological Blue Flag”) for our efforts in 2013. AMCO’s goal is to keep integrating environmental awareness into each one of our processes and contribute with a sustainable development that maintains a clean world for the new generations.
Committed to Safety
Besides our environmental commitment, at AMCO we work side-by-side with our collaborators in prevention and control of occupational safety risks. We aspire to have projects that reflect the quality of our service, which highlights safety for our collaborators, clients and contractors.
The most important value in our Occupational Health and Safety Program is to transform all our collaborators into active leaders of preventive procedures.
We firmly believe in the constant improvement of safety standards, with the help of technical aspects defined in national and international rules. We have developed educational programs in safety, organization and cleaning, emergency response and behavioral safety.
Committed to Ethics
Aiming to contribute to the Sector’s responsible development, we have adhered to the Cámara Costarricense de la Construcción’s (Costa Rican Chamber of Construction’s) initiative to promote an Ethics Standards model among its Associates.
Such adherence forces us to practice an ethic exercise of the profession in our relations with the community, suppliers, the environment and other participants of the Sector. We incorporate ethics in our contribution to the industry’s development, the knowledge management and our responsibility to the Country and its legislation.
